ISAIAH 26:3
THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON THEE: BECAUSE HE TRUSTETH IN THEE.

I found this little "Welcome" block
at "Family Dollar" for $2.00.

This is an item a secret pal

got me I can change it each season.

This table cloth I got from ABC distributing a few years back. I got these plates this week at Rite Ad these were only $1 a piece. I also got the candle at Rite Aid 50% off. I wanted the table mats shaped like leaves I have seen, but there $5.00 a piece that is a little too much for my budget. When I seen these plates I thought these will be efficient enough for what I wanted.

The boys help me gather up the fall items this pass Tuesday. Actually, it was out and up efficiently before fall arrived. Just did not realize I was doing that.

Today sure has been a fall day here rain, rain and more rain. It just makes you want to do absolutely nothing.

Do you remember???

Can you remember where you were on 9/11/2001? I certainly can I worked in Knoxville, Tn for a company and the office was on the sixteen floor. Trust me with what was going on I wanted to be home with my family immediately. I first found out when my dad called me at work and ask us if we had heard what happened. We all ran to the conference room to see it on the television. What disbelief was on our faces. Several of us ladies decided to go downstairs to be outside just in case and we gather in a circle and we began to pray.

We all know the world is getting harder to live in and seems to get more violent every day. Please if you know God take time to tell others about him. Just this past week a man out our church told us what happen to him... he said that a man started to fight him over a parking place at a store. The man got out and started toward him and then the passenger which was the other man father told him to stop this man is a man of God. The next thing that happen he was giving these two men a gospel tract to read from our church and both men gladly excepted and told him they would certainly read it. Many opportunities come into our lives we just need to take the time to tell others.

Take time today to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.

.......Please help!!!!

Anyway, since my hubby hurt his arm in June. I have been mowing the yard most of the summer, my parents help a few times out. Well, last Thursday night my hubby and I decided we would work on the yard. He got on the riding mower and I got out the push mower. He bought this one for me in August it is very easy to handle. For some reason after helping mow all summer I got up the next morning with a rash on my left arm. I have done my research and it really look like poison ivy. I just mowed grass around our fruit trees and our flowering bushes. I have yet to find any poison ivy around any of these trees or bushes. I just wondering is it possible to be allergic to the bushes I really hope not. It is clearing up, but I am assuming before I do anymore mowing I will have to wear long sleeves and long pants.
So what do you think it is poison ivy???? If any of you have a fast cure for this please let me know.
My husband is doing wonderful. He finished his therapy this week he received his certificate of completion. Yes, he completed this therapy much more earlier than they expected. His surgeon though said he would not release him completely until 16 wks which will be the first of October. This is through God's grace and prayer that he has done so well he can lift up to 100 pounds again with that arm.

Our little man he is still doing wonderful it was six weeks yesterday since his surgery. He has done remarkable much, much better than I ever dream he would do. He can gradually move back to his normal activities he enjoys doing. He bought a new bicycle a couple of weeks ago, but has not been able to ride it yet.

My God was with us through it all and he was so gracious to walk all the way with us. I remember a little saying that has never left me..."This to will pass". Sometimes we think how much more what more could we possible go through on this earth. I am reminded that Christ suffer so much more than any of us ever will.

I Peter 3:18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

??It's my Birthday

Our little man Kenny has a birthday today. He is "10" today. We told him he is a decade old today.

How Deep the Father's love for us

I Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for usn in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for the that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

I Peter 4:12-20
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is try to you, as though some strange thing happpened unto to you:

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an eveildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto the faithful Creator.

My hubby is so proud of his little garden we planted in the back yard. We also have a larger garden at my parent's house. This was the first year we planted vegetables in our yard. We just planted tomatoes and cucumbers. Mother and I canned 15 quarts of pickles in earlier July. But the tomatoes at our house did so much better most are at least one pound. Although, this one grew to be two pounds. Here are some pictures of it. See how the slice of bread is smaller than the tomato.
I just wanted to continue to thank all family and friends for all their prayers. Our son Kenny is just doing so very well. I am so thankful for what OUR LOVING SAVIOR did for him. You know we have always been told Kenny had an enlarge heart and a valve problem. The fact was our son had a massive right atrium. Some day if you have time I would love to show you the ex-rays you would just be amazed. We even heard the doctors say they thought the results of his surgery was just fantastic. The fact is the child had a weight lifted off his chest. One he felt was normal. I could tell a difference in the size of the child's chest immediately after the surgery. He was told he would have more energy and be able to eat better (yes gain weight). The tricuspid valve that needed corrected was repaired which many times when having surgery on a valve it ends up be replaced with mechanical or etc. Continue praying for his recovery that his body will heal completely.
My hubby is doing much better. He is really ready to get back to normal. The cast he is so ready to get rid of, but he have to wear it for at least two more weeks. He is still on light duty at work. Yes, these last two months have really been overwhelming. A church sign I read today read--- Life is an uphill battle climb it on your knees.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through CHRIST which strengtheneth me.

Do you enjoy garden vegetables????

I just love eating garden food this time of the year. I made a casserole this week with chicken and squash recipes consist cream chicken soup, sour cream and cheese.
I put fresh tomatoes in my spaghetti last night for dinner.

This is a new one probably one most have not tried.
Slice the following vegetables squash, tomato, cucumber and onion and fry in butter and garlic powder. I tell you what else is good is zucchini...which you could use instead or cucumber or both. We are having this tonight with dinner.

Today is our youngest son Jonathan birthday. He is nine years old today.

Mom surprised us for breakfast and we had ICECREAM with sprinkles, cheerios and bananas.
We are home finally. Oh!! how glad we all are to be home. We thought we will never get out of MN yesterday. There was a storm and we sat on the run way for almost an hour before we left. Just quiet tired today would rather do nothing all day, but I am sure that will not be the case. Now, just to try and get life back to normal as possible. Kenny, is doing well today just been a little discomfort. He is a very strong child. Continue praying for the healing process he have to be extra careful for the next five weeks.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for all your prayers. Our son Kenny is doing wonderful. The surgery was very, very successful. The valve was repaired and the right atrium was reduced. The staff here is just so wonderful. He is doing very well he was moved out of ICU in less than 24 hours after surgery. He is in patient care unit now. He is doing so well. He has been walking a little today and eating a little. He is heading for a good recovery and the time here should be less than what we thought.

God gives Peace

We cancelled our evening service at our church, so we could go hear a guess speaker at a local church. The speaker was at our church this morning and then we had lunch at church and short service afterwards.

My hubby was not feeling well he said he really thought we all should just stay home. Well, I knew in my heart I needed to go. The boys and I went to the church near by actually much closer than our home church. The speaker is a Marine Corp. he is a very going preacher and he can sing with blessed gift and talented voice God bless him with. The message I knew was for me when he started talking about having the Grace to go through things or difficult times God allows in our lives. Yes, I have given it all to the Lord at home with friends and family and really was starting to feel the peace of the Lord. I knew though I needed to just cast this burden at the altar and just leave it there. All I could do was cry. I have always believe God can understand your tears. I told God now I am here and I am leaving all these concerns and these burdens I give to you. I felt a strong assurance of the burdens just lifted. I gave him the praise right there for taking these concerns. Right there I felt just a strong assurance of PEACE.

Job 22:21

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Prayer Request

I have a cousin by marriage name REED on my mother side of the family. He has been a very sick man for over a year now. He needed a kidney transplant and he insisted he waited for someone not in the family. He has been on dialysis now for awhile. He has been getting weaker and weaker. Then this past Friday he received a call and he had to head to WV to get a kidney transplant. Please keep him in your prayers and that his body continues to except this kidney. Mother was talking to my sister in KY on Sunday and she said she felt God presence as she lifted REED name in prayer on Friday. She said it was just like GOD told her I am taking care of him today.
Also, please remember our little man Kenny his surgery is getting very close. We have tried to get him to talk to us about it and he is avoiding the topic. We have not push the issue with him though. Just continue to pray for him. Also, pray that there is availability at the Ronald McDonald house, so we can stay there this sure would be a lot easier on the budget. We have to wait until we get there to check for room availability. Yes, we have made other arrangements with another place to stay if this does not work out.

Ms. Linda at church she just lost her sister on Thursday. Linda just lost her husband a year ago this past January. Her sister was a strong help for Linda when her husband past away and they spend a lot of time together lately. It was just unexpected she fell and hit her head and never recovered.

Why Now God???? But God said Well Why Not??

Faith- That is something hard to stand up to. We have some friends facing trying times in their life her job is being eliminated in fact the entire company in closing in Morristown. She is struggling with the idea of going back to college and not working for awhile. So her faith is being tested. I told her just keep the faith and God will let the next chapter open to what he has in plan.
I like what I heard one time at church- There not trials these are opportunities for Christ.
Even in our own life I just thought WHY!! the old human flesh. God Why now just how do you think we can deal with this now. The answer is you can not but with my hand I will help you through. I even have a hard time asking people for help. I just wish I could do it all myself.

We were given a card this week the words are by Helen Steiner Rice--
At times like these...it is only God who can speak the words that calm the sea, still the wind, and ease the pain, So lean on Him, and you will never walk alone.

This verse was in the card from:
Isaiah 40:31-- But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

A words from a song I really like- God will make this trial a blessing.
Happy Father's Day to all our fathers. Please do not forget to thank your earthly and HEAVENLY FATHER today for all he has done for you.

Well, Adam has a long road ahead of him. He was told my the therapist on Thursday it will be at least 13-16 weeks of therapy. This will actually just get him back to normal day to day usage of his hand and arm. It will take even longer to do lifting, pulling and etc. Thank you for your prayers.
